PRNewsWire.com is a great place to submit your press releases to increase your Website traffic.

Writing an SEO friendly press release is a great way to boost links to your site, which will increase your website traffic. You can submit free or cheap press releases to deliver company news or information about upcoming events. Writing relevant keyword-rich press releases will get your website important backlinks that will help boost it’s position in search engine results pages.

The topic of the press release can be a new product or service, an upcoming event, a new partnership or hire or an interview with an expert in the field. Make sure to use language that a customer can easily understand. Don’t use a lot of industry jargon, as it can get confusing and might not be relevant for targeting customers.
Make sure to have a list of important keywords when you begin to write a press release. Focus on one or two keywords and ensure the title contains at least of your buzz words. Keep the PR title within 100 characters. Also include a 1-2 sentence summary about the press release.
The body of the press release should be at least 300 words; however, it could be more depending on the PR agency’s guidelines. Make sure to sprinkle keywords throughout the body, but do not go overboard. Link the keywords to relevant pages on your Web site, which isn’t the Home page. Include the company logo in the press release and also use photos or graphics to help illustrate your point.
After you’ve written and edited your press release, email it to relevant media outlets and bloggers. Also send it to newspapers in your company’s area, especially if the press release is about an upcoming event or new product. The more media outlets that publish your press release, the more links your company will gain back to your site. This will increase your Web site traffic while also increasing your page rank on search engine result pages. If you provide relevant, useful information in your press release, more outlets will post it, more people will read it and probably continue to read future press releases from your company.

naturalseoIf you’ve spent any time browsing our Search Circus blog—or any other decent Internet marketing blog—then you know the importance of implementing natural SEO on your Website for maximum search results. Natural SEO can mean the difference between having a Website that languishes in obscurity and having a Website that gets the traffic it deserves.

But did you also know that it’s possible to optimize your social media profiles? Many believe that since they don’t have access to the actual code on their Facebook or LinkedIn pages, they have no power over how those pages will rank on search engines. But that’s not exactly true. There are, in fact, several things that anyone can do to implement natural SEO on their social media profiles. Nicole Boderm lists them on her blog. Here are a few of the highlights:

Facebook Natural SEO:

  • Get a vanity URL if possible – read FAQ’s Here
  • Use the Facebook notes section for posting blog posts
  • Under Privacy > Search settings select “create a public listing for search engines”

LinkedIn Natural SEO:

  • Your past work history should go back 10 years . Explain what you did at each company.
  • Write/Get Recommendations & Ask/Answer questions
  • Comment on the LinkedIn blog and link back to your LinkedIn profile.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Find more natural SEO tips on this blog post.
